Topographic Methods

Nowadays with the use of  the Laser Scanner toghether with the support of photogrammetry through Drone the results are faster and more accurate than through the conventional Total Station or GPS, that takes longer time and gives less accuracy resuts.

HOW TO DETERMINE A VOLUME

How to determine a volume?

Nowadays, there is a great need to calculate volumes in various areas, such as in mining, construction and in industries.

In mining, by knowing the volumes of the stocks, companies can calculate estimates to know the profits they can make, or know what quantities they have in stock. Several methods are used to determine volumes these days.

It can be determined by the traditional approach by topographic survey through Total Station or GPS, where the volume is calculated by interpolation and summing cross-sections \ profiles along an axis. This method has the inconvenience of execution time and accuracy is not the correct one.

With the evolution of the equipment, the fastest and most accurate methods are the Laser Scanners as well as Drone Photogrammetry, where better results are obtained in a shorter time and at a lower cost than the LIDAR System, which is another of the methods used, even if it is very accurate, it carries very high costs,

not forgetting all the logistics that it entails.

METHOD AND CHARACTERISTICS

OF TOPOGRAPHIC SERVICES

The work is carried out with the aid of a differential GPS, with a precision of 1.5 cm and one of the NIKON NPL332 total station with 1cm accuracy.

The topographic survey is carried out on the basis of the WGS84 coordinate system, and the boundaries of the terrain as well as the surrounding area, if necessary, will be raised for the development of the project.

All buildings and trees will be surveyed topographically,
as well as all structures that can be considered as obstacles.

In order to carry out this topographic survey the terrain must be with vegetation never exceeding the waist height of the worker,
otherwise you may have to clean the land and may increase the value of the quote at the time of final delivery.

The work will be based on the AutoCad 2006 program.

The delivery of the work is in analog and digital format, includes a general plan; plant area; general plan of cuts; cross profiles.
